Privacy Policy

Mara — AI receptionist service by Mars Network Services, Inc. · Effective September 4, 2026

This policy explains what information the Mara receptionist service collects, how it is used, and how text-message (SMS) notifications work. Mara is operated by Mars Network Services, Inc., 58 N Riverwalk Dr, Palm Coast, FL 32137 ("Mars", "we").

What Mara collects

When a visitor checks in at a Mara kiosk or leaves a message on a Mara-answered phone line, Mara records the visitor's name, the reason for the visit or call, who they asked for, a callback number if they provided one, and the time. This information is stored for the subscribing business and shown to its staff. Mara discloses that it is an AI assistant at the start of every interaction. Calls handled by Mara may be recorded for quality and accuracy; callers are told this at the start of the call.

SMS notifications to staff

Mara can send text messages to staff members of a subscribing business to let them know a visitor has arrived or a caller has left a message. These messages go only to employees whose numbers were provided by the business owner on a signed intake form and who confirmed by replying YES to a one-time welcome text.

  • Message frequency varies with lobby and phone traffic; typically 0 to 10 messages per business day.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help, or contact us below.
  • We do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Mobile information is used only to deliver the notifications described here.

How information is used and shared

Visitor and caller information is used solely to operate the receptionist service for the subscribing business. It is shared with that business's staff and with the service providers that run Mara (cloud hosting, speech and language processing, telephony, and SMS delivery), each of which processes it only on our behalf. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.

Retention and security

Visitor logs are kept for the subscribing business and deleted at its request or when service ends. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is limited to the subscribing business and Mars support staff.

Your choices

Staff can opt out of texts by replying STOP. Visitors and callers can ask the subscribing business or Mars to delete their check-in or message record.
