Terms of Service
These terms apply to the Mara receptionist kiosk and phone service ("Mara") provided by Mars Network Services, Inc. ("Mars"). Businesses that subscribe to Mara agree to these terms and to the service agreement signed at onboarding; the service agreement controls if the two conflict.
The service
Mara greets visitors, checks them in, answers questions from a knowledge base the subscribing business approves, takes phone messages, and notifies staff. Mara is an AI assistant, not a person, and says so at the start of each interaction. Mars installs, hosts, and supports Mara as described in the subscription tier the business selects.
SMS notification program
Mara's staff-notification texts are an optional feature for employees of subscribing businesses.
- Enrollment: the business owner lists staff members and their mobile numbers on the signed intake form. Each number receives a one-time welcome text and is enabled only after replying YES.
- Content: short alerts that a visitor has checked in or a caller has left a message, including the name, reason, and time. No marketing.
- Frequency: varies with lobby and phone traffic; typically 0 to 10 messages per business day.
- Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Opt out: reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact Mars at alex@themarsnetwork.com or (813) 501-5467.
- Privacy: mobile numbers are used only to deliver these notifications and are not shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
Business responsibilities
The subscribing business is responsible for the accuracy of the knowledge base it approves, for obtaining its staff's agreement to receive notifications, for any call-forwarding it configures, and for complying with laws that apply to its own visitors and callers. Mars-owned kiosk hardware remains Mars property unless purchased under the service agreement.
Availability and limits
Mara depends on internet, telephony, and third-party AI services and may occasionally be unavailable. Mara may misunderstand or misstate information; the subscribing business should not rely on it for emergency, medical, legal, or financial matters. Mars is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its total liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding three months.
Changes
Mars may update these terms; the current version is always at this address. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
